Prepare for your visit

Three things make it simple.

Bring valid photo identification

An unexpired government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID or passport, is generally best.

Keep the document unsigned

Unless you are told otherwise, wait to sign until the notary is present. Complete the document, but leave signature and notarial areas blank.

Have every signer present

Each signer must appear, understand the document and sign willingly. Arrange any required witnesses before the visit unless specifically included in your quote.

Mobile notary FAQ

Answers before you book.

Can I get a same-day mobile notary in Boston?

Same-day appointments may be available depending on location and schedule. Text 617-966-7768 with your location and deadline for the fastest response.

Do you travel to hospitals, assisted living facilities or universities?

Yes. We can meet at Boston hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, campuses and other accessible locations. The signer must be alert, aware of what they are signing and acting voluntarily.

Can you tell me which notarial certificate I need?

No. The receiving agency, document preparer or an attorney should tell you whether an acknowledgment, jurat or another act is required. A notary cannot choose for you or provide legal advice.

Do you provide remote online notarization?

This page offers in-person mobile notary appointments. Ask us about your situation, but do not sign electronically or assume a document is eligible until the process is confirmed.
